The front staff is the only pleasant experience here. They are super professional and nice. The "med spa" is situated in a tiny space in a shopping strip, it is a very small space that was not very welcoming. The paperwork is vaguely written, in such a way that makes it easy to overlook important medical information. The cancellation policy is equally vague, as it states there is a 48 hour policy, but then it goes on to state they prefer 24-48 hours notice. I had to ask the front for clarification, not that I would anticipate cancelling, but it's always good to understand the policy. The laser hair technician seems to be completely unaware of appropriate bedside manner. She did not make me feel welcome, and in fact made me feel very uncomfortable. On the initial appointment, she complained about how they only use Groupon to generate business, but they don't make money from the service, which I find ironic because the terrible way she treated me did not make me want to be a return patient. So I already felt like a burden, which is not how you want to feel with someone who has a laser that can burn your skin. She also was argumentative with me when I asked questions for clarification. Second appointment, she was 8 minutes late, no apologies from her, only from the receptionist. The receptionist, who was very professional, walked me into the room and handed me a gown. The technician abruptly corrected her right in front of me, that I don't need a gown for the procedure. I thought it was very unprofessional, but also there is going to be gel going on my skin, and I am in my work clothes. I had expected to remove my clothes and wear a gown for the procedure. As for the pre-treatment- Technician did not call 24 hours after our initial consultation/test to see if I had a reaction to the laser. I had a small burn that I just assumed she had missed a spot of the gel application, but it turns out I had a reaction. She said she would need to lower the strength of machine and test another small area, but I was already nervous about this going in, annoyed at the lack of 24-hour follow up phone call, treated very poorly by the tech and simply did not feel comfortable there at all. The entire experience prompted me to leave without being treated. I was willing and able to pay for more laser treatments if this one worked; there are so many of these med spa facilities it is overwhelming to try to pick one, I just wanted to try one out on a small area (my underarms) before committing to larger areas like my legs and arms. The experience with this technician alone has deterred me from any future services at this facility.
