About Veterans Park Ice Skating Rink

You don't need to make a trip to Rockefeller Center to have a classic wintertime skating experience. For residents of Norfolk, it's as easy as heading to Veterans Park. New for 2016, the park hosts two separate outdoor rinks that host public skate sessions as well as skating schools and adult hockey clinics. The rinks will also boast heated viewing areas where guests can rest and sip hot chocolate, and will be open until early Spring, so families can continue to make seasonal memories long after the holidays.

This was a real bare bones skating experience with renal skates that were in pretty bad shape and ice that was far too choppy to skate safely on.

Nice rink under a tent in South Norwalk. Brand new skates for rent - included in Groupon. Free skate times conveniently available at various times. About 2-3 hours available on all weekend days I checked. Nice people working at skate counter and on ice. Not crowded at all. Food truck available for sandwiches and drinks. Would purchase again.
