The massage therapist was skilled, but I am baffled by how the hot stones were used. On my feet, hands, arms, and legs it was a waste of time and effort. The stones were helpful on the shoulders and hips, where the therapist used them to warm me up for deep muscle massage, but everywhere else, the stones were used instead of actual massage, perhaps just to help the massage cream penetrate? I wish the therapist would have suggested stones for the shoulders and hips only. She did ask if I had ever had a hot stone massage; I said no.
