Running is a great way to stay healthy in general; it's also the only way to stay healthy if you're on the course of a 5KRunDead race. Each competitor is armed with flags, and as zombies nab them, they grow weaker. Lose all your flags and you're out of the game, while the fastest and nimblest get rewarded with prizes at the end. Zombies are rewarded with prizes, too, plus the fun of being transformed into genuinely gruesome creatures by pro makeup artists. Proceeds seek to spread good health far and wide—100% will benefit cancer and Alzheimer's research.

Unorganized and a rip off. T shirts were supposed to be sized. They were not. They were supposed to apply zombie makeup to runners. They did not. Poorly marked and generally amateur. It was supposed to be a fundraiser but I saw no evidence of this and suspect the event was a scam.

Worst race I've ever run. Unprofessional, started late, the course wasn't marked and wasn't even an actual 5k.

Everything was really disorganized and not set up in a timely fashion. I was a zombie, I got staged by a tree and that was the run for all zombies. We didn't get to participate in the actual the run bc we had to be staged. By the time everyone was done wit the run the zombies were able to do the course on our own. It was like doing the run on my own outside the event. When I was finished the course I arrived in time to hear the winners of the race however, it was not much of an after party as was advertised.
