Both eye-catching and classy, Mesh’s collection of tops, dresses, and denim easily transitions from workday to evening. That’s thanks to owners Courtney Smith and Lauren Tonniges, who seek out women’s apparel by Grace in LA, Guess, and Mavi, and men’s duds by Rock Revival and Big Star. The wares are handpicked to appeal to the 25-plus crowd, says co-owner Courtney; the owners try to balance the needs of shoppers who like to go out but also have ever-accruing responsibilities by mixing club-ready metallic blazers and one-shoulder blouses with a bounty of casual denim and office-appropriate ensembles.

To help customers hone in on their ideal ensemble, staff members are happy to guide customers through the vast selection. “We can tell what will fit [our customers] just by looking at them,” says Courtney. The store also offers free alterations on regular-priced denim, ensuring jeans that hug curves like an affection-starved parallelogram.
