About Orange County Scuba Center

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? We are a PADI Five Star Instructor Development Center with skilled instructors who enjoy diving regularly and continue to dive with our students long after they are certified divers. Our customers are made to feel at home a OC Scuba Center, where they know the owners and the owners know them..

Do you provide any materials? What should your students expect to bring? We provide with the course: Wet suit, Buoyancy Compensation Device, Regulators, tanks, and weights Students must have: Mask, fins, snorkel, gloves & booties (these items must be approved for ocean diving by instructor) WE OFFER LOWEST PRICING ON THESE ITEMS_

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? We are a small dive center with a primary goal of providing the dive community with a shop they can call "their own" dive center.

What do you love most about your job? The best part of my job as an instructor is the dive community itself. I have been blessed to meet, know, and dive with some of the nicest people in the community. At OCSC, we have been able to open our shop up to the dive community as a place where friends gather to share dive experiences.

Chris Fogg the owner of this shop is fraudulent. He is representing himself as a legitimate PADI instructor and is not. PADI has a block on him and his cert number, PADI #250770. OC Scuba Center is not a certified PADI training business. They are now out of business.

AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COST! I registered with them to obtain the PADI certification, got in line for 3 months and took the written test, all good until this point. Then I took the confined water test soon after, and waited 3 months for open water test( had to call several times to get to the test). 4 months after I have not received my certification and Chris Fogg (owner) won’t even anwer anymor

Save yourself the grief and go somewhere else. This place is terrible, unorganized, and unprofessional. They need better management and someone who cares about the quality of instruction and safety of the clients. This place is a total mess. I could probably write a 2 page essay on all the things that went wrong. Take your business elsewhere

WARNING! SCAM ALERT! One star isn't low enough when someone steals your money. I purchased a groupon for my son to get PADI certified. It started off so well. They went through their classes and pool dive, but when the open water dive happened they decided to move it to Catalina. My son couldn't afford the difference (about $70 plus other costs) since they decided to "move" the dive. This was due to the major rainstorm we had here in Southern California during early 2019. The owner Chris Fogg told him that he could "reschedule" and every time my son reached out to contact he would say "I will work you into the schedule for this weekend." But each weekend he would stop replying prior to the arrangement. Then he stopped texting altogether. At this point, I am fuming mad and am reaching out to Groupon, as well as preparing to file small claims. I recommend being more cautious in the future when you steal people's money.
