I had been coming to Chicago Clock for years for watch battery replacement. I enjoyed patronizing a small business that must have a hard time surviving in a high rent place like the Gold Coast. I presented my expired Groupon, which clearly stated that while the deal had expired, the $5 I paid WOULD NEVER EXPIRE. I actually had to argue with two employees for ten minutes about whether or not my Groupon was worth $5. Then I was told that the fee for my battery would be $21 with the coupon, when minutes prior, before the Groupon discussion, I was told it would be $14. Why should I have to argue about what my expired Groupon is worth when it clearly states the terms in the fine print? It is not my fault that you were not aware of this when you signed your contract with Groupon. For the cost of $5 you lost a customer and everyone she would have referred to you.
