About 5K ColorFest (Nov/Dec)
Sprinting around with a beet-red face glistening with sweat is no way to run a 5K; it's much better to add some other colors to the mix. During the 5KColorFest, participants run, jog, or walk along a three-mile course that periodically explodes with color (courtesy of safe, non-toxic color powder made from cornstarch). After getting pelted with every color of the rainbow, racers compare their newly chromatic outfits at a post-race party complete with live DJs and dancing. All proceeds from the 5KColorFest benefit scientific research on cancer and Alzheimer's disease.

If you're going to do a color run, I would choose any other organization than this one. If you're expecting organization, color shooting up over you via fancy color guns (or whatever they're called), music, and an after-party, you won't get any of that here. Let's start with the worst. They didn't shoot color at you or even throw the color at you. They were so lacking in volunteers and equipment, that runners had to stop running, gather around a single person holding a large bag of color powder and wait their turn to have color poured on them via a plastic cup. Also expect unattended children to throw a cupful of color powder in your ear well after the race is over. There were no announcements about where to line up or how many laps to run. You just go when they say start. A lot of participants didn't even get a number (not that it matters - it's all for fun!). They thought they'd run out, but one of the volunteers found a box after the race and it was full of numbers. There was music playing during the run, but you can't hear it. We asked when the supposed after party was supposed to start and the volunteer just laughed and said there is not after party. Most of the volunteers seemed like they didn't want to be there. Honestly, it's so disorganized, that I had no doubt I could have just showed up and run for free. I looked around at other reviews for this particular color run, and others across the nation seemed to have the same experience. So if you want to do a color run, do it! Have fun! Just don't do this one.

It was a lot of fun to try it out once. I was not too happy to have the color stay on my samsung watch. I had color powder everywhere.

Very unorganized and started an hour earlier than time stated on tickets. Bought extra color pack and they had run out by the time we got there. Seemed like it was just some people that were running some last minute put together event. Luckily still had a good time with my running buddies.

Event was disorganized, poorly supplied and generally not worth the price, even at a discount. skip this event.
