My wife and I really enjoyed our conversation with our waitress. I can't remember her name but she's a very intelligent single (divorced) mom raising four children who is a veteran and has led quite an interesting life already.

Food was ok, not memorable. Pitas were the minis you can buy at a grocery store, not what I would expect from a Turkish restaurant. Service was memorable, because it was terrible! The server saw that my drink was low when she delivered my food, but we had to walk to the kitchen to get their attention. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and we could hear their conversations in the kitchen. They were laughing & having a good time while we were waiting for service.

From Our Editors

Don’t be misled by the last part of name—it's much more than just Steak and Salad. In addition to the two headliners—in the form of rib eyes and racks of ribs—the primary draw is the traditional Turkish cuisine. Stuffed grape leaves and grilled-eggplant dipping salad acclimate diners, then the cuisine of Turkey shines through, such as grilled meatballs, gyro platters, and pita bread. The kitchen even turns out desserts such as cheese cake and baklava—the dessert used most by teachers when teaching kids about the importance of vowels.
