At Centre Stage Dance Studio, if you can walk, you can dance. The staff brings in tykes as young as 18 months, teaching their tottering feet the basics of rhythm in classes such as tap, pointe, hip-hop, and jazz, each separated by age group. Classes run one to two hours long and can include a single dance style or a combination of styles, giving dancers a chance to discover their favorite style without having to stow away on a ballet dancer’s tour bus. To showcase the fruits of their two-stepping labor, the company puts on three shows per year, including a Christmas production and a full-company presentation in June.
