It takes guidance to run correctly. It's not a matter of just getting up from the couch and conquering a 5K, then making the leap to a half marathon. That's how runners get injured or, even worse, lose their desire to make it to the next finish line. The fitness lovers who lead The Brooklin Run Club know what to do and not to do because they're also competitive distance runners. In their quest to share their passion, they've created a professional club that trains everyone from fledgling joggers to veteran speed machines.
Clinics, classes, and personal training help them reach their goals, whether it's surpassing a personal best, moving from the asphalt to the trail, completing a marathon, or simply shedding pounds. The team includes experts who specialize in effective cross-training techniques, certified yoga instructors adept at deepening stretches and strengthening cores, experienced pacers, and nutritionists who help runners take it to new limits.
