Drink lots of water all day before starting. Get your own bikram yoga mat and towel before attending, it is $1 each time to rent each item and you will need them.

The first time is challenging and sweaty- drink a lot of water during the day prior. Check out their website for tips if it is your first time. You will feel wonderful knowing what your body is capable of! I am so excited to keep going!!!

Arrive early to acclimate to the temperature. Wear appropriate clothing. Trust your body and do not overdo it.

Make sure you bring a couple dollars to rent a mat if you don't have one and a special towel. Bring ice water it gets HOT in there! I loved it!

A long-time triathlon competitor and Kripalu yoga practitioner, Sandy Eby was hooked on Bikram yoga after her very first class. She lived nearly two hours away from the nearest studio, though, so she tried to recreate the experience in her basement by practicing in front of a space heater. Unfortunately, it wasn't the same. So, Sandy founded Bikram Yoga of Oswego.

While the intense heat loosens tight muscles and increases circulation throughout the body, instructors lead 90-minute classes designed to accommodate students of all skill, experience, and fitness levels. Each session consists of the same two breathing exercises and 26 asanas, which systematically strengthen muscle groups and promote healthy organ function.
