YMCA of Greater Houston, Pearland

I purchased a groupon about a year ago, it expired and I forgot about it. Well, I read where it says the amount I paid never expires, so I go in to sign my son up for a sport and they gave me the hardest time. They could not understand what I was saying even though it was clearly written on the groupon page I was showing them. Groupon makes a big deal out of the fact that the amount paid is always good, but I think you need to relay that information to the merchants you use. I explained several times to 2 different people that I was NOT asking for 2 month membership for $49, I just wanted to apply the money to anything else. Both times, they handed my phone back to me and said "it's expired." They had to go into the back room together while I stood out in the lobby feeling like *I* was in the wrong when I knew I wasn't. When they finally let me use that amount it was done begrudgingly, and I really was made to feel like I was trying to "get one over" on them. In fact, another employee had to "witness" the adjustment, and she made a snide remark about seeing exactly what was going on. Since we were out in the open and I was frustrated trying to explain, all the employees were watching. Not to mention the girl signed us up for the wrong sport, which i noticed while walking out, and she told me she would fix. 2 weeks later, I find out she moved us to ANOTHER wrong sport and we had already missed the first practice. Not a very good experience at all.

Pricey for a single mom, but if another groupon becomes available I'll take it!
