CrossFit Renaissance strives to make renaissance men and women out of its clients, prepping physiques for a broad range of real-life challenges with each day's workout. Coaches Bill Shiffler , Reese Knox, and Ray Decarlo follow the CrossFit credo: intense and highly varied routines that can slide on a scale of difficulty to suit any fitness level and focus on functional movements. However, they differentiate themselves by guiding small groups, limiting attendance so that every student receives personalized guidance. To accumulate evidence for the program's muscle-toning effects, gym members record their daily stats in a training log and conduct regular interviews with their biceps.
