The restaurant is under new management. We went to use the groupon and didn't know it was restaurant week so we were turned away (but asked to pay the fee for restaurant week) so we left. Then weeks later went to use the groupon only to find out at the end of the evening after we paid for the bill that we were charged hirer prices than what the menu states and the automatically added 18% gratuity for 2 individuals. We was told that Groupon authorized this New Fee. It isn't written on the groupon when I purchased it that we would be automatically billed 18%, nor does it say we would pay more. The restaurants menu states that there will be a 18% gratuity for parties of 6 or more.

You need to hire a chef because your food was horrible. The food tasted like it came from a can or was frozen and reheated in the microwave. I will never go back or recommend it. I go out to eat a lot and understand that some times you will have a bad night but again it was not worth the money and horrible.

For 30 people in the entire restaurant on a Friday night it was way tooooooo Loud. They were out of Asian wings by 8 o'clock. When my wife checked us in on four square the recommended the Asian wings so that was a disappointment.

We did have a bit of a wait before getting our last order of tapas and entree. The waitress kindly comped two drinks for us for the wait. That was very nice! Overall, a nice experience.

From Our Editors

The chefs at Gigi Restaurant & Lounge draw upon the culinary traditions of America, Spain and Thailand. For example, the eatery’s empanadas—traditional Spanish stuffed pastries—burst open to reveal the shredded beef, mushrooms, peppers, and cheddar of a Philly cheesesteak. Stir-fry coated with a sweet chili teriyaki glaze hails from Asia, and seafood paella crafted with shrimp, calamari, and mussels pays further tribute to the dishes of Spain. Meals unfold in an expansive al fresco dining area or an indoor dining room where the latest sports flicker across flat-screen televisions every day until 2 a.m. Along with game nights, Gigi entertains patrons with karaoke, live music, Sunday brunch, and VIP tasting events, where visitors might finally have a chance to steal a lock of hair from an alderman.
