I was impressed with the floor map of Philadelphia & suburbs it encouraged discussion of family histories and transitions & made visual & spatial “sense” of neighborhoods and surrounds. The open space would permit children space to unwind& I loved that there were tables where they could sit and draw. They might need to draw to exorcise the images of slave cuff & the corseted cage with bell atop!

We were visiting the City for vacation, and while all of the National History in Philly is very interesting, it was also nice to have a place that focused on the City's history. The staff was friendly and helpful. I especially liked the large Philadelphia map on the floor.

Very friendly, beautiful building and is only a one to two hour visit. Doesn't require a full day commitment so you can do other things in the city. One block west of independence mall.

We thought it was ok, my husband and 2 children went (ages 12 and 14) . They thought it was pretty interesting. We liked seeing Mike Schmidt 's batting helmet, Joe Frazier's gloves and Bobby Clark's stick. Also some cool history. We liked the big map of philly too. One of the staff at the museum, Bob, i think, shared some really interesting facts. It's not very big but could be a good addtion to a trip to Philly. Lots to do in the area.
