About Lights of the World

Even older than the place it celebrates, the Arizona State Fair was already 28 years old when Arizona was granted statehood in 1912. Although it features classic attractions, such as a petting zoo, carousel, and tilt-a-whirl ride, the fair isn’t stuck in the past. Popular musicians headline the state fair’s stage, and attractions such as Encounters: UFO Experience look directly into the future. More thrills can be found in SR 1 racing and monster truck derbies, not to mention on a host of roller-coaster rides available at the autumnal celebration.

Perfect family outing. If you can stand the 90° weather during the day, it’s worth it because there were no lines for the rides! Food is overpriced so eat before you go.
