Bluebird Distilling, Phoenixville

After reading an article about the easing of local spirit laws, Jared had an idea: leave his corporate job and open a craft distillery. He spent the next few years learning everything he could about this new trade until he was finally ready to open Bluebird Distilling. Here, Jared and his team use an imported, custom-built still from Germany to brew virtually any spirit imaginable. This flexibility gives them an impressive menu of liquor under their brand.

A few of the spirits Jared and Bluebird produce:

• American Single Malt: The crown jewel of Bluebird's. This single malt whiskey is comprised of pale and caramelized malts which ages in charred American oak barrels for a mix of dark fruit, vanilla, and toffee tastes.
• Juniperus Gin: First distilled from rye, this gin is vapor-infused with botanicals and spices, creating an initial taste of juniper followed by a blend of citrus and cucumber.
• White Rye Whiskey: This clear spirit is whiskey straight from the still. Without any aging, this whiskey starts off sweet with hints of cacao and ends with a dry and spicy finish.

Bluebird Distilling is a grain-to-glass distillery. All of their spirits are distilled on site using their hybrid copper still. Bluebird is made up of passionate people dedicated to creating quality spirits. Bluebird produces a wide range of from-scratch spirits, everything from whiskey to gin and always is coming up with new types of spirit.
