Cammuso's Salon ~ Spa ~ Wigs, Plum

Jerry and Linda Cammuso inaugurated their first spa-salon in the spring of 1974 within a modest 600-square-foot space in Monroeville. Even though a wealth of success eventually led the salon to relocate to a new 2,200-square-foot facility, the couple and their seasoned team still strives to maintain that same small, family-owned feel. Amid sky- and moss-hued walls, stately black mirrors float between individual beauty stations where stylists diligently snip, color, and style clients' tresses. A giant photomural depicts a palm tree leaning across a stretch of white sand toward glittering blue water as photos and art pieces throughout the salon allude to the tranquility of tropical locales. Within private rooms, aestheticians, cosmetologists, and massage therapists enhance statures through facials, waxing, and Swedish or deep-tissue massages. Colorful bottles of Paul Mitchell, Nioxin, and exclusive signature Cammuso products line the waiting area's ebony shelves, allowing clients to bring home the same products used by their stylists for at-home beauty maintenance and mid-commute hairspray fights.
