From Our Editors
Recently snapped wedding albums, boutique squares, and coffee-table books grace Alyssa Westermann’s studio space, tucked in the back of the home where she lives with her high-school sweetheart, Corey. Comfy couches, nestled in the corner of the room, accommodate new clients during consultations, and the viewing room’s projector exhibits high-definition versions of every image during postsession ordering appointments. In between those meetings, the studio’s professional-lighting setup and bountiful backdrops and props enrich one-hour portraiture sessions, though Alyssa also frames her natural, rarely posed shots on location as well. In addition to family, high-school senior, and child portraits, Alyssa’s award-winning squad continues to increase its tally of more than 100 weddings photographed with extensive coverage of nuptial ceremonies and scavenger hunts for lost wedding rings.
