We had a very nice dinner tonight at Mayura. It's located in the heart of the N.W. district. We enjoyed the food very much! I would highly recommend that everyone give this place a try.

Food is very good. Service is reasonable. Costs are a little high. I had tandori chicken which was good, 4 pieces of chicken, but I'm not fond of chicken legs-- they gave me 3 legs and 1 thigh. All thighs or breast would have been better but I was not asked what I wanted. My wifes lamb sag was excellent with garlic naan.

Definitely order a few dishes and share!!! Also for appetizers get their combo basket of different naans etc. The atmosphere was great, the owners and wait staff were very friendly!!!! I will go back again, it's great to support local restaurants and businesses. go on a Sunday night, early evening for a quiet dinner......the place was pretty much ours.

We went to Mayura for an early dinner on a Sunday. It was not real busy. We got excellent service and the food was great. Nice atmosphere, clean and the music playing was appropriate for a quiet dinner for two.

From Our Editors

Relying on traditional recipes from northern and southern India, the chefs at Mayura Indian Grill & Bar forge their halal-friendly menu of meaty and vegetarian dishes. Their specialty lies in filling dosas with spicy lentil chutney or potato curry, but they also simmer house-made cottage cheese alongside fragrant herbs and seek out seasonal vegetables for some of their entrees. They can marinate orders of chicken and lamb in one of their spice-infused sauces before roasting them in a clay oven that burns more intensely than a bodybuilder's love of lunges.

Dishes, whether meat or vegetable based, end up on the dining-room tables' crisp, white linens, which, along with the rows of corrugated pillars, imbue the space with a stately air. Beyond mealtimes, Mayura embraces south Asian culture by occasionally showcasing Indian films for the community.
