Beautiful space. The food is well-prepared but way too salty and sweet. It's run by Hawaiians, which explains that. The interior is a local treasure, with amazing decor and spaces, and a couple of real Chihuly's to amaze you.

Didn't care for the pineapple-upside down cake, but the rest of the meal was delicious!

Dinner was excellent, dining room service wonderful, bar service good and host needs some training on managing reservations and getting diners seated in a timely fashion.

We were a little worried after reading some of the reviews. Not to worry, the service and food was fantastic! We'll be back! For those who didn't know, Portland Prime is their sister restaurant (we love Portland Prime).

I was really unimpressed the last time we went using a Groupon and hesitated to try again; however, they appear to have made several improvements this time around. The food was hot and quite tasty this time around, and the service improved immeasurably. There were still some things that weren't quite polished (e.g., a "warm spinach salad" that was only made warm by virtue of the fact it was on a hot plate, so it was cold on top), but the crab cakes and scallops each with creamy risotto were quite good. I still wouldn't visit this place without a Groupon as I don't think it's quite worth the prices they charge just yet without one, but if they can hang on and keep making improvements, it's well on its way. Oh, and check out the bathrooms! Seriously!

From Our Editors

At Quartet, food, hospitality, atmosphere, and music harmonize under the orchestration of restaurateur Frank Taylor. Creative takes on American standbys fill the plateware, crafted by experienced head chef and Oregon native Adam Kekahuna out of sustainable, local ingredients. Those dishes rest on elegant linen tablecloths while diners rest on plush armchair seating. Through the two-story windows, guests can watch the sparkling Willamette flow by, or on a clear day, spot the dragons circling Mount Hood. Meanwhile, the paired grand pianos beside the bar tempt a stream of local musicians such as Tony Pacini and Mel Brown—live tunes start playing at 5:30 p.m. on the dot.
