About Maryland Basketball Academy
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
MBA currently has 14 teams and 7 weeks of summer camps. We have 2 Varsity MCPS Head coaches on staff along with several JV and assistant coaches. We also have 6 MCPS teachers on staff. We teach basketball instead of coaching basketball.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
I couldn't find an organization that focused on training so I started MBA.
What do you love most about your job?
I love helping players get better and reaching their goals. I love the fact that we have helped so many players make their middle and high school teams.
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
We had a camper swish a half court shot to win a pair of Nike shoes. He and the whole camp, all the kids all the coaches were going nuts. High fives screaming, laughing it was an amazing moment.
