About Amazing Escape Room - Princeton

You wake up in a strange room, with no idea how you got there. What's even more puzzling is that the room is filled with locked boxes, strange doors, and clues that need to be solved if you want to escape. To add to the pressure, a counter ticks down from 60 minutes to 0. Luckily, you're not alone—others are there to help you solve the puzzles and find a way out of this sudden amnesia without resorting to reading everyone's diary entries from the day before.

That's the basic situation behind one of Amazing Escape Room's several themed room-escape games. In other scenarios, which vary by location, players search for the identity of a double agent, chart a course out of a cabin before winter comes. All the while, they hope they don't run into one of the dead ends in every room.

The escape room itself was great (we did "Knight's Quest" and especially enjoyed the rope-pulled bell puzzle), but this deal is not worth buying through Groupon. The "Amazing Escape Room" site charges additional per-person online booking fees when you actually schedule your date, so this voucher doesn't cover the full cost of the experience. You're not getting the great deal that you think you are. In addition, we disliked the online-only waivers that we had to complete when we arrived for our escape room. Ours was a multi-generational group, and some of the older people had trouble connecting to the internet and scanning the QR code to open the waiver form. "Amazing Escape Room" didn't offer any alternatives such as paper waivers or a tablet they could use to complete the waiver, so one of us had to do it multiple times for everyone individually on his own phone. Despite this problem, I'd go again in the future, but I wouldn't bother trying to do it through Groupon since it just added aggravation and without saving me any money.

Took two sets of grandkids for one session. I didn't accompany them into the room, but they came out very enthusiastic and happy, and ready to go back again. The attendant(s) were very helpful and instructive. It looks like it will be a regular visit when the kids are visiting.
