Love at 1st Dance, Forest Hills

We signed up for 2 private Tango lessons and they were a lot of fun. Jack was great with teaching us and taking his time with us and just allowing us to have fun. He has a great sense of humor and we actually learned the Tango. He shares the studio space with other dancers, so arrive on time for your private lessons like we did or your lesson could be cut short. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because Jack did not have a sound system and used his mobile phone to play music for our first lesson. The second lesson we brought our own speaker and iPod so that we could learn the Tango, while feeling the music at the same time. I advise you to bring your own boom box and iPod to enjoy the lesson better.

The instructor did not know the dance I asked him over the phone and pushed us to buy lessons after every class. During the lesson, he would switch to different styles of dance we had no interest in like switching from salsa to tango. A waste of money

Jack is a very patient instructor. I have no dance experience and he has done a great job getting us through the basics of foxtrot. We purchased the four class Groupon and have one more class remaining. A great time and a flexible schedule!

Jack was patient and funny. My husband and I had a lot of fun. We took a dance lesson as a date away from the kids. Would definitely try another lesson there again.
