About Oak Park Tea Room

What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Intimate and fun setting for a delightful morning or afternoon tea. The perfect place for bridal showers & birthday parties. We offer lots of scrumptious sweets, treats, pastries, a few lunch options and of course a variety of delicious teas!

How would you describe your atmosphere?
A unique relaxing, intimate setting that can be a whole bunch of fun as well!

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The Old English Tea Room gave me inspiration to open up my own. And with having so much tea and lady belongings, why not turn it into a fabulous tea room? Put all the wonderful China to good use :)

What do you love most about your job?
This place is full of nothing but fun, love, and Jesus. It's always unwinding, and joyful being at the tea room with all the wonderful guests that come in. Great conversation and wonderful teas. It's hardly work, when you're having this grand of a time.

I have rarely had a more pleasant experience than I did today, my first visit to Oak Park Tea Room. I brought my three year old for a mother-son afternoon tea. We shared the La Tea Da and had a pot of tea each. Every single item was delicious. It was clear that a lot of time and love went into the making of everything. The charming proprietress served us herself and treated us warmly and kindly even though we were there with a Groupon. (I've had unfortunate Groupon experiences in the past where they treat you like dirt and even mock you, very embarrassing.) She checked on us enough to be courteous and thoughtful, without being intrusive. She accepted hugs from my excited son and even danced I'm A Little Teapot with him. We spent nearly two hours there. We ate every single thing on our table and enjoyed every bite and every moment. My son especially enjoyed the very funny "fish and chips" bowl! Now that we know about this establishment, we will be happy to return whenever we have our next afternoon free.
