Hangtown Motocross Classic, Rancho cordova

Shouts rise from stands, above the clouds of dust, as motocross racers arc through the air, off the hill and back onto the dirt track. It's the Hangtown Motocross Classic, sponsored by GoPro, where race fans cheer their favorites as they rip through hairpin turns towards the finish line. Legendary match-ups have gone down, among them Bob Hannah vs. Marty Smith.

In the morning, timed practice sessions for both men and women preview the day's events. Later, both men and women race on 250 and 450 class bikes, fighting to qualify for that evening's Winners Circles or at least the last slice of pizza. Visitors can check the website for track conditions.
