Sunrise and sunset mark the start and end of the workday for most people, but they’re the busiest times for Katie LaCoste. She relies on these golden hours to illuminate her subjects during 30- to 60-minute portrait sessions, which she conducts all over San Diego County. Ranging from kids and expectant moms to couples and families, Katie’s models strike comfortable, playful poses during each shoot, which often yield up to 300 pictures. Katie begins sorting through them right after the session, posting edited versions of her favorites onto Facebook and assembling them onto a USB drive for her clients.
