We had a terrible experience. We were displeased with the boat's state of disrepair and it sat too low to the water and caused us to inundate... scaring our toddlers to death and my cellphone to drop in.

The steering wheel for the boat literally came off 3 times. The canopy for the boat fell down twice and the door/gate for the boat wouldn't stay shut so it was tied shut with a rope. Disappointed.

Very disorganized crew. Long wait line. Reservation information lost. Nothing explained. Very stressful environment. Past the terrible customer service being on the water was great.

The pontoon boat #3 was horrible! The seats were all ripped! Engine was unable to be run at full capacity with out the front nose diving and submerging with water. When my kidstood at the front half the boat was underwater! Kids crying! Not worth it

Was refunded groupon bucks....boat was sinking with a family on it, with a two month old! So we were told by the only guy working that he had to go save them. His boat broke down while he was saving them...we later learned there was another guy out there saving them first but his boat broke down. Customers were waiting like us and left mad. We had to wait for someone to get back to give us our 100.00 deposit. We were told by someone there that works next door that rescued the family, that there boats sink all the time. No thanks...you should definitely not be selling groupon sot this place!!

The fleet of boats is very old and in poor condition. Our boat stopped running twice in the 2 hours we were on the water and we had to call for another boat to assist us. The first time I called, "Captain Ken" told me to anchor the boat, but added that I would have to pay for the anchor if we lost it (not exactly the advice I'm looking for when stranded in the bay). We decided to end our boating trip early. To make up for the poor experience, the owner offered me a "deal" to make the same Groupon-priced purchase again and go a second time.

Prior to the rental, they pitched their boat rental services, and membership information. With that, I anticipated the best foot forward. The people were nice, but the boat was decrepit with a missing bench seat, another one split and with no screws holding it on one end. Since these give the boat side-side stand ructural integrity, I felt a bit unsafe as the boat flexed a lot. However, the boat ran well. There were junk pieces of rope in the boat, aparently from the previous anchor rope; the boat could be cleaner. Other boats that were available were ALL in better shape, although several were missing bench seat screws and bolts.

I bought this as a gift for my dad and my teenage son to go to together. There weren't many time options offered, so I had to pull my son out of school to go. They were disappointed that it didn't include more and they didn't even get a bite.

From Our Editors

It's hard for Let's Catch Fish's founder, Ken Strimple, to imagine a life without fishing. From an early foundation, he moved on to bigger fish and competed in bass tournaments including the ESPN Northern Tour. Today, Captain Strimple and the team at Let's Catch Fish aim to instill this passion in new generations. Through the classic pastime of fishing, they believe people can truly connect with nature.

The crew leads full- and half-day excursions on reconditioned fleets into fish-packed waters such as the Irondequoit Bay, Salmon River, and the giant #1 Dad mug that holds Lake Ontario.
