About Aqua-Tots Swim Schools of Austin

Indoor pools heated to a comfortable 90 degrees, Aqua-Tots Swim Schools' experienced instructors pass their aquatic knowledge onto younger generations. Before taking to the waters, the team sorts prospective swimmers from the ages of 4 months into one of eight swim levels along with similarly skilled and aged peers. Instructors work alongside the parents of infants and toddlers to practice water safety skills and other swimming fundamentals such as breath control, safety roll, and back floating. More advanced swimmers, meanwhile, master different strokes and techniques, and instructors incorporate more advanced concepts as their students progress through the levels. Parents can rest assured that their children are in good hands—each of Aqua-Tot's instructors has completed 32 hours in the company's Lessons for Life training program and a rigorous Water Safety Instructor exam. In addition to swimming lessons, Aqua-Tots offers and hosts a number of other programs including Adaptive Aquatics programs, water therapy sessions designed specifically for children with special needs.

Great experience! My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the classes. She loved it so much she is now signed up for weekly lessons! Facility is clean and comfortable for parents to sit and watch. Employees are friendly and patient with the kids. The staff even knew her name by 3rd class! Our only recommendation is to have slightly warmer water for the kids on cold days.

I hate to give a bad review, but I was very unimpressed. The instructor changes every time which is expected as you have a limited amount of days to schedule all the lessons allotted from the Groupon. The quality of the instructor varies greatly. We had some great ones, and some who did not care to be there. One instructor watched the wall clock constantly and finished class ten minutes early which is significant when the lesson is only thirty minutes. The students have progress cards that indicate to the instructor which skills they are currently working on. My son's card was never filled out and on our final lesson, the instructor asked me if this was our first time to attend. The final straw was during one of the lessons, the instructor was helping an individual student in the water. The remaining students were asked to sit on a pool step in the water. While she was working with the other student (she had her back turned the entire time), one of the students on the bench slipped off and went under the water. The instructor turned around and helped the student up out of the water as the mom came running into the swimming area. It's definitely not a place I would recommend.

two of my lessons were well-organized and I felt they helped my son learn some valuable skills. The rest of my lessons were very unorganized and did not teach him anything new. Dave was wonderful and the guy with the long blonde ponytail was awesome!

My child loved the swim lessons and was eager to go back each time.
