About The Grandel

St. Louis Shakespeare was initially founded as a summer festival that showcased Shakespearean plays and other classics. Today the company presents three Shakespeare plays and one non-Shakespeare play per season, and, since 1995, has toured kid-friendly adaptations of its shows to children and adults who hate big words.

Thoroughly enjoyed the show. Seems as though there is not a bad seat in the house. It was difficult to find the theater.

Coriolanus was epic, but the battle scenes could be enhanced with a little more effort on the props. Toy guns can utilize caps and other sound effects, as well as flashes of light. Although my preference would have been an ancient Roman setting.
