The owner, Erika, is so personable and easy to relate to. She engaged my friend and I in conversation and she welcomed us. I had the pork tacos, which were delicious. My friend and I both enjoyed our orders and we plan to return with others.
The pork egg roll was really good, more Chinese style than Vietnamese style. The lemongrass chicken rice bowl was just ok. It was made with chicken thigh and I prefer chicken breast. I had the Korean Beef with kimchi rice bowl and it was delicious! The service is always friendly and they have a beautiful display of desserts.
sampled a few sweets: taro and red velvet cupcakes, a chocolate hazelnut turnover and a vanilla custard bun. all were delicious. the counter person, not so much. she seriously brought up tipping 3 times while I was ordering, and as soon as I mentioned a Groupon, the attitude came out. Although the siblings who own Silhouette Bakery grew up in the neighborhood, their menu combines flavors from all over the world. Guests looking for a meal can grab a Korean-beef-and-kimchi bowl or an order of al pastor tacos. But the main draw is the made-from-scratch selection of baked goods, ranging from colorful cupcakes and french macarons to Japanese buns and mochi.
