One Way Out Escape provides both physical and cerebral thrills by way of a simple set-up: a locked door, a series of puzzles, and a running countdown. Teams are given 60 minutes to escape their locked room, which can only be done by using the critical-thinking and problem-solving skills normally reserved for TV murder mysteries and lost car keys—all while the minutes dwindle and the urgency increases. One Way Out has two themed rooms, the Office and the Hospital, and each is equipped with a "hint" button, which players can use up to three times during the game if they get stuck.
