St Pete Salt Works, Saint Petersburg

The founders of St. Pete Salt Works grew up in St. Petersburg, FL and felt the need to share floatation therapy with others in the community. Flotation therapy has been around since the 1950s while floating on top of still salt water has been around for thousands of years. The womb-like state provides relaxation and recovery and stress relief to the body. Deep relaxation can lead to improved access to internal imagery as well. Awareness and control of this mental imagery is key to self-regulation and floating is a perfect environment to amplify this effect.
