Closed-toe shoes and an eye on the prize—a chop-laden wooden bull's-eye—is all participants need to succeed at Celtic Axe Throwing. But, if they do desire a helping hand, lane marshals are on duty to instruct patrons on the proper technique and safety rules. An off-shoot of Feckin Brewery, Celtic Axe Throwing uses axes with wooden handles to avoid the bounce-back that usually accompanies rubber-handled hatchets. Friends and family keep score during double-elimination brackets from outside of the lanes, each of which is 14-feet long and fully enclosed.
