About Christopher's Prime Tavern & Grill

At Christopher's Prime Tavern & Grill, every piece of prime, corn-fed beef ages for 21 days before it's ready to be served. Chefs then hand-cut beef into kansas city sirloin, new york strip, or "cowboy" chops before locking in the painstakingly cured flavor with 1,500-degree broilers. In addition to steak, the menu also boasts seafood flown in daily from around the world. Locally sourced produce adds organic texture to every meal and linen tablecloths add softness to obstinately hard tabletops. The Zagat-rated "excellent" eatery can seat diners on the outdoor patio or in the dining room, which can fit up to 300 guests for wedding receptions, banquets, or corporate events.

The food was fantastic!!! The service was likewise, and very professional. Our server, LilaMay, did a great job! For the record, the restaurant has moved to the other side of the Peery Hotel, now on the corner and co-located with the Sonoma Grill (which has more of a bar-like atmosphere); it has also changed its name back to Christopher's Prime Steak House. The general manager of both restaurants, Mike, was amiable and runs a great establishment. The main reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because the food, while excellent, was so doggone expensive. If I weren't using a Groupon, I would not want to pay that amount of money for a steak, despite its high quality and being cooked to perfection, especially if it did not include side dishes. (The seafood and chicken plates, however, are somewhat less expensive and do include delicious sides.) Also, for being a higher-end restaurant, it lacks the fancier atmosphere that it had at its previous location. I say this because it seemed that the servers had to go back and forth between the two restaurants, separated by a curtain that doesn't prevent diners from hearing the more upbeat music being played in the Sonoma Grill (rather than enjoying the more mellow music one would expect to hear in a fancier restaurant), and because it was rather difficult trying to get in and out of the booth seats (for those sitting on that side of the table). Overall, however, I would definitely return for a fine-dining experience!

They no longer have a pre fixe menu so everything is ala carte. The food is still very good, but you will most likely spend an additional $50 - 70 over groupon amount without alcohol.

Ordered the New York strip and it was probably the worst cut of meat I’ve had in years , it also wasn’t prepared well . Won’t be going back
