After Cubs fan Jerry Bishop moved to San Diego, he couldn't find deep-dish pies that met the demands of his Chicago taste buds. So he decided to open his own pizza shop—Asaggio Pizza Pasta Plus. Over the past 30 years, Jerry and his wife Liz have rounded out the menu with New York–style pizza, calzones, and pasta, all made with freshly prepared dough and handcrafted sauces. Staffers also hand stuff the sweet Grandma's-recipe cannoli, which diners can enjoy on the waterfront patio.

The location-gray. But I was disappointed with the food. We had the spaghetti and cheese ravioli. Meatballs were bland and the sauce- tasted like store bought.

I was given the wrong order on a pizza I ordered to go. I called and was told it would make me a new pizza.I live an hour away so I couldn't come back till the next week they said okay but the next week the owner would not honor the offer.

they claim to be the best Chicago style pizza west of Wrigley Field. We had the deep dish pepperoni. It a very basic pizza sauce and the crust was so thick and fluffy. Nothing more than a glorified frozen pizza. As far as the ambiance... About 4 tables and two round tables, paper plates, plastic silverware. Do not recommend!
