Bino's Bistro & Creperie, San Diego

Reunited, and it feels so filling. That's the case for crepe fans and Bino's Bistro & Creperie, which unveiled a new location in Hillcrest after its location in Coronado closed down after 14 years. The new eatery has a laid-back vibe and a menu that accounts for every meal.

For breakfast and lunch, the kitchen staff prepares housemade pastries and hearty omelets with three eggs and ingredients such as house-cured salmon or grilled zucchini and squash. But the highlight is the crepes. Béchamel sauce tops many of the savory crepes, including the Croque-Madame, which has Black Forest ham, swiss cheese, and a fried egg. Whipped cream, on the other hand, is the condiment of choice for the dessert crepes.

In the evening, diners make room for entrees such as New York strip steak, marinated rack of lamb, and chicken roulade, which can be complemented by one of 11 different wines, none of which are more expensive than $8 a glass and draft beer. The full wine list contains 56 different entries.
