FruitCraft - Fermentery & Distillery, San Diego

The Founder Alan Haghighi started FruitCraft in 2009 (under the name California Fruit Wine). As a San Diego native, he is inspired firsthand by the creativity he experienced in the Craft Beer scene. But where breweries at the time were fermenting mostly grains - an inexpensive source of sugar vis-à-vis starch - and where wineries, then and now, fermented grapes - he decided to do what nature has done since the beginning of time - ferment every other fruit. Since then, he has become a master fermenter and now distiller. Now you can sample FruitCraft's entire menu of fruit potent potables or enjoy a cocktail made from the products at the Hillcrest kombucha bar and tasting room. And if you really like what you taste, you can become a member of the FruitCraft club and get monthly growler fills of your favorite products.
