As the exclamation mark at the end of San Diego Bacon Week, San Diego Bacon Fest celebrates all things bacon during an all-inclusive afternoon of snacking and sipping. Established in 2012, the adults-only event showcases the bacon-y talents of more than 30 restaurants, pubs, and food trucks, including popular purveyors like Grillfellas BBQ and Bub's at the Ballpark. The day's menu features everything from bacon sushi rolls to bacon burgers, tacos, and even bacon on a stick, as well as plenty of beer and spirits to wash back bites. Live bands also crank out the day's soundtrack amid other attractions, such as a burger cannon, which is just a novelty today but actually receives credit for helping allied forces defeat Napoleon at the Battle of Leipzig in 1813.
