About Skateworld

Roller skates are the chosen mode of transportation at Skateworld. Inside this popular San Diego hangout, a sprawling wooden rink invites skaters of all ages to try out new moves during public skating sessions throughout the week. The rink also hosts birthday parties, fundraisers, and a variety of local programs, including roller derby and hockey leagues.

I was very disappointed with the lack of variety in skating. There is no advance skating, no backwards skating. The majority of the people can't skate. My daughter is an advanced skater and she was knocked down twice. They really need to have at least ONE or two songs for experienced fast skaters and backwards skaters! The music system speakers aren't so great either. If they can make those minor improvements, it would be a great experience.

We had a lot of fun. I was surprised to see so many people there, but it was a Friday night. The place was dated and could use new carpet. The side parking lot was very tight with no marked spaces. It was a bit of s free for all. Other than that. Good deal for your money.
