The biggest dilemma facing urban dog owners is how to keep Mr. Woofers stimulated and healthy while you’re out at work for nine or ten hours at a stretch. Of course, with those long sedentary office hours, it’s likely that those same owners aren’t getting enough exercise themselves. Enter: fit BERNAL fit, which looks to solve both problems. The Bernal Heights studio (and its Glen Park twin) provide a supervised play area for four-legged buds, while the humans burn off the calories over on the gym side or at one of the many yoga mats. A recipient of PETA’s Most Progressive Fitness Center, it’s a great alternative to doggie daycare for people who nonetheless worry about their pets’ mental health – and their dog walkers can help pick up the slack mid-day or while you’re out of town.
