About Red Hots Burlesque

Red Hots Burlesque embodies a devil-may-care attitude and swooshy flair that brazenly challenges the media's unrealistic beauty standards. And that particular brand of burlesque has captured the imaginations of The New York Times, Current TV, and Yelp users alike. The outfit celebrates femininity in all its forms and skewers the prudish during their raucous stage shows and private performances. And for aspiring burlesque legends, Red Hots reveals trade secrets during classes at its School of Shimmy. The courses help individuals feel comfortable with their own bodies without the implication that that's only acceptable in the context of a fitness class. They even waive tuition for survivors of breast cancer.

The burlesque show wasn’t at all like the previous one we had seen. It was at a different venue the Shelton Theater rather than the Stud. It had a different energy. Not light and fun.Only one portion of it seemed burlesque like and choreographed. When I think burlesque I think choreography, sensuality, sexuality, and tastefulness. This one had odd snippets of movie clips between set changes.

Great show in an intimate setting! Loved The Stud venue, and the talent! Definitely recommend getting VIP tickets (it equals sitting down where you like and a fancy V on your hand instead of a G). My only qualm is that the tickets come in sets of 2, and I am part of a throuple, not a quad, so bringing a friend on a throuple date seems a bit odd.
