###In Focus: Restaurant Ducroix * **Established:** 2009 * **Specialty:** authentic French cuisine * **Must-try dish:** sea bass with anise-carrot purée * **Other popular dishes:** escargot, crème brûlée * **Fun fact:** The words _purée_ and _brûlée_ kind of rhyme. * **Wine list:** mostly French and California varietals * **The chef:** Etienne Ducroix, who comes from a family of chefs and hoteliers in central France * **Atmosphere:** The restaurant is intimate, yet casual. Tables are also very close together, so plan on getting to know your neighbor. * **Inside tip:** The daily specials tend to sell out quickly.

I w Was never able to make a reservation. The contact information and phone number given by Groupon is incorrect I went to the establishment to ask the owner for a reservation and he told me there would be no food for two days. I have called another number repeatedly to request a reservation have not received a call back. I wasted my money and never got to use the Groupon.

One guy cooking, waiting and hosting means long waits; he brought me a different fish than I ordered and just said they were out of the one I ordered. Safeway paper napkins and he had to go wash a spoon for my soup. Didn't give us a choice for dessert.:: the food was pretty good but the experience was absurd. This is not the chic French restaurant experience that is described..:
