In the space formerly occupied by Café Prague, The Sycamore has taken root. Red-walled and -curtained, with its otherwise starkly black and white décor, this corner gastropub, on Mission Street at Sycamore Alley, is an after-work favorite. The wide-ranging drink list, brazenly unhealthy kitchen and big old stack of board games keep Missionites coming back time and again. It’s a fine spot for destroying your Connect Four rivals over a plate of pork belly donuts or for wondering about the eight beer taps that are mounted upside-down to the ceiling. However fun and easygoing, though, the Sycamore is not a place to wear Google Glass. That no-tech-eyewear policy is strictly enforced, Mission or no Mission.
