I was so disappointed. I had previously gone to another AVEDA salon on the peninsula (Spoke & Weal). I had gone in for a consult at Atelier before getting my hair cut with the stylist. The stylist's photos of her work looked good on the website/Instagram and she seemed to understand what I wanted, but the results were SO disappointing.
I loved my haircut from the other AVEDA salon, but nearly 6 months had passed and it was outgrown, so I was well due for a haircut. I wanted it trimmed and to add some more wispy layers, which I already had in the front.
After my experience here, I left with my hair looked worse than before! The other AVEDA salon (Spoke & Weal) was more expensive, but I left with a fantastic haircut that lasted for months without any complaint.
For a haircut that I instantly did not like, this was way too expensive and very disappointing. The stylist also immediately curled my hair and I didn't get to see what it looked like until she was done curling my hair despite me telling her that I'm a low-maintenance gal, who doesn't do anything to her hair. I didn't get to see the results until the next day after I had washed out the products and the curls to see what she did.
I have been contemplating getting another haircut (anywhere else) to have this fixed, which also, unfortunately, means spending more money. I highly recommend Spoke & Weal because if you're going to end up spending more money to have your hair fixed after an appointment here, you might as well have it done right the first time. Or, going to a local SuperCuts/similar for a basic cut that hopefully, they can't mess up.

Really appreciated the friendly understanding staff and that the protege gal who cut my hair consulted with another before attempting to fix a bad hair cut that I received from another salon. My hair cut turned out very nicely! Thanks again!

Nice salon with great ambience and customer service - using only Aveda products. Parking is in the big garage on Olsen behind Santana Row. The hair cut and blow dry was good. Pricey place but that’s the norm for a good experience these days!
