Philly's Cheesesteak, San Mateo

Each signature sandwich at Philly's Cheesesteak starts the same way: with thin-sliced, 100% sirloin or chicken breast meat, grilled and piled into a real Amoroso roll with onions and hot and sweet peppers. But where it goes from there is largely up to you. Choose between sliced white American cheese, provolone cheese, or Cheez Whiz, or just slather the whole thing in pizza or barbecue sauce. Diners can also opt for one of the shop's signature creations, like the Spicy Sicilian, which features spicy Italian sausage mixed with steak, or the Western, which keeps the beef, but piles on bacon, barbecue sauce, and onion rings.
