Service was great , food came out on time delicious.. just be aware it’s a lot of food great prices would definitely come back again
good sushi in a relxed atmosphere
Excellent sushi- great desserts such as fried Oreos and the Japanese Napoleon. The Groupon is well worth it.
The waiter was great. The food mediocre, maybe because we came at 9pm and the food was old from the day? The desserts were delightful. Might go back and try lunch.

Their lunch menu says that it includes "tea" or a soft drink. I ordered hot tea and was charged an additional 3.50.
Food is good but it defeats the purpose of saving anything if i have to pay that much for a tea bag and hot water.
Love our visits to Genki. The service was great and our specialty sushi rolls were delicious! Dessert was comped for the birthday girl!! Love the hot sake! Thank you Genki👍
Decent sushi, but not the best. Still, with Groupon, definitely worth it.
The food was ok, service was lacking I had to wait for 10 mins to get $20 bucks back in change. While waiting on my change the manager walked over to my fiancé and I and literally said “are you still here, leave already” I wasn’t sure if her was serious or joking either way that’s no way to speak to a paying customer.
I won’t waste my time nor money there ever again and you shouldn’t either.

Named after the Japanese word for happy, Genki Noodles & Sushi captures the feel-good delicacies enjoyed by owner Reid Zeising during his childhood in Tokyo. Reid now oversees three locations that dish out a signature menu of traditional and experimental sushi rolls, tuna specialties, and Japanese barbecue bowls packed with grilled meats or tofu mixed with noodles or rice. In many dishes, classic flavors of spicy tuna and fresh water eel mingle with unusual additions such as parmesan cheese or mango.
Though each location sports its own distinct décor, all three locations glow under flat screen TVs and the blue light of fish tanks populated by ocean critters and a merman trapped in the body of a hermit crab. The Virginia Highlands location mingles exposed brick with a covered outdoor patio replete with breezy fans.
