What is one fun, unusual fact about your business?

A major feature of the Walk is the Village In Action with interactive exhibits designed by participants from local communities. The Village in Action showcases the impact of the Foundation’s projects and provides visitors with a pathway to be engaged as global citizens.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Hundreds of volunteers from around the U.S. work to make the Foundation’s programs, especially the Aga Khan Foundation Walk/Run, a great success. Volunteers contribute their time to build exhibits, organize fundraising events, and educate others about global poverty and the transformative work of the Foundation. By volunteering, we touch the lives of people around the world. We are stronger together and with your participation, we can break the cycles of poverty.

Is there anything else you want to add that we didn't cover?

100 percent of donations and all net proceeds raised through events go directly to projects supported by the Foundation.

It was a great cause. The event however was a fiasco. Totally unorganized. The walk/run was a joke. We had to make three laps to make our completed route. Not even a place to bring food donations. We enjoyed some parts of the event. But for the most part it was a mess. And they threw the color powder straight in your faces as you can see by my daughter face. Just a mess. Hope their goals were met.
