Bring comfortable shoes. Pick a day when's it's not too hot. Weather was perfect for us. There's a lot of information within the tour but the tour guide trims it down nicely. However she is open for discussion as some people will inquire further on the information provided. If you love Hollywood history don't miss this tour. If you don't know much or anything of Hollywood history it's a great tour to learn about it. Karie the tour guide is fantastic!

An excellent tour, filled with Hollywood history, in a beautiful setting. The tour guide, Karie, was very knowledgeable and provided a top-notch tour experience. Definitely recommended for both locals and out-of-towners.

The tour guide was terrific and knowledgeable. The sun was shining and the grounds were lovely. Hard to believe we were in Los Angeles. I plan on going back when they screen movies there. Thank goodness it was preserved.

Our tour guide, Carrie/Karrie Bibel, was tremendous. She was funny, knowledgeable, courteous, and understanding. She gets an A plus, in my book! The cemetery was beautiful and well-kept. I will definitely return. We did not have enough time to see everything we wanted to, however-but I understand that. I would love to have seen the graves of Paul Muni-maybe the best actor ever-. Adolph Menjou, Eleanor Powell, Nelson Eddy, the Talmadge Sisters, et al but time did not permit that-though, I realized later, we were right next to Paul Muni's and Adolph Menjou's sites. What a great time we had, though!

Great tour and the guide is knowledgeable and very professional. Learned a lot about the various people buried at the cemetery. This really a historical tour about a different time and place in Los Angeles/Hollywood and the evolution of the entertainment industry.

Lots of walking outside. Be careful on hot days. Tour was very interesting, led by a film historian.

From Our Editors

As Karie Bible strides across Hollywood Forever Cemetery, the hem of her mourning gown absorbs dew from the gravesites of Douglas Fairbanks and Jayne Mansfield. She tours the cemetery for a living, leading groups to crypts and monuments that mark the remains of deceased celebrities. Whether recounting the legacy of actress Marion Davies or kneeling at the spike of grass that marks Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer's final resting place, she immerses tour-goers in Hollywood history. Each tour lasts about two hours and sheds light on cherished stars, as well as lesser-known entertainers and community members.
